This past year, one of my dear cousins was diagnosed with ALS, after having supported his brother's care journey with the same disease. I have seen how life changing this diagnosis can be, how necessary it is for more supports to enable people with ALS to continue to live at home, and how limited we still are with treatment options. This experience motivated me to join my friend Lisa and the Noakes-Ainey Team in this year's ALS Canada Revolution Ride. 

Just past three months post-partum, I will be doing the 40 km bike ride. This ride has been important to me to first and foremost support people like my cousin, but also to have as a goal in my post-partum recovery and return to cycling after quite a long hiatus. 

I am participating in Revolution Ride because I want to support the world’s leading researchers discover the cause, treatments and cure for ALS. Leading-edge research and support programs improve the quality of life for people affected by ALS.
